What's Being Served Up on the Silver & Spindles Blog
As an educational organization, Lippitt House Museum hosts student interns when staffing and workloads allow. This spring term we collaborated with two students. Hanna Rashidi, an art and creative writing student at Brown University, was the guest blogger on the “Taste of Providence” series for the Museum’s Silver & Spindles blog. We also had an opportunity to work with Devne’t DeGrandmont, a graduate student in John Hopkins University’s Museum Studies program. Devne’t was interested in learning more about fundraising, an often overlooked but important part of museum work that makes our public programs and preservation work possible. She wrote a blog post about her internship project helping plan the Museum’s upcoming Rosé Garden Party fundraiser on July 10. Check it out for a behind-the-scenes look into the thought that goes into planning a successful and fun benefit for the Museum.
