From the Flight Deck
Greetings!
On campus this past week, our Jets wrapped up their Progress Monitoring Activities (PMA) quarter 3 testing. These tests help guide teacher instruction and also help prepare our students for the upcoming state assessments. In regards to state assessments, please mark your calendars. Our first state assessment is FSA Writes on Thursday, April 7th. This past week also marked the end of quarter three.

I hope all of our Jets have a restful and safe Spring Break. When students return from Spring Break on March 21st we will be in the final quarter for the 2021-2022 school year. I encourage students to please read for pleasure over the break!

Parents and guardians, if you have not yet done so, please take our 2022 parent survey. The survey information is just below. Thank you for your help.

THEME:TOWARD A MORE PERFECT UNION – THE CONSTITUTION IN TIMES OF CHANGE
“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union . . . .” are the opening words of the U.S. Constitution. At 4,400 words and signed in 1787, it is one of the shortest and oldest written constitutions in the world.

The Constitution is a dynamic document, that not only outlines a blueprint for government but also delegates power, articulates rights, and offers mechanisms for change. It is neither perfect, nor exhaustive, as our nation’s history makes clear. Legislation, court rulings, amendments, lawyers, and “we the people” have built upon those original words across generations to attempt to make the “more perfect Union” more perfect. That effort continues today, as contemporary leaders and everyday citizens raise their voices as loud as ever to fulfill the promise of the Constitution and create a more perfect Union.
