Featured COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics
  • All Coloradans 16+ are now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine! While this is a great step towards vaccinating all people, please remember that vaccinating everyone will take time, and everyone who wants a vaccine will be able to get one. While the community is working towards vaccination, please remember to follow the 4W’s, wearing your mask, watching your distance, washing your hands, and waiting on large gatherings. 
  • Make an appointment to receive a COVID-19 vaccine at a vaccine clinics hosted by the City and County of Broomfield:
  • Thornton Fire Clinic on Thursday, April 8. Appointments are required and are expected to be released tomorrow, April 6. Please make an appointment.
  • 1STBANK Center Clinic on Tuesday, April 13. Appointments are required and will be released at 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 8. View details at Broomfield.org/COVIDVaccine.

  • Want to be alerted of local COVID-19 vaccine events? Text “CCOB” to 994-11 for urgent, non-emergency Broomfield news, including notifications about upcoming COVID-19 vaccine clinics via text.
  • If you have questions about vaccine distribution or safety, please call the state's hotline at 1-877-CO VAX CO 1.877.268.2926. Trained call center operators can give information in multiple languages.

Upcoming Events
  • City Council will convene tomorrow night, April 6. View the agenda. Public participation via telephone will open at approximately 6 p.m. by calling 1.855.695.3744 and pressing star 3 (*3) to be placed in the queue. Written comments are requested to be sent in advance to council@broomfieldcitycouncil.org. This meeting will be presented live on the City Council website Broomfield.org/CityCouncil and through your local television, Channel 8 (Comcast customers only).
City Updates
  • Spring Cleanup: Spring Cleanup will begin on April 17! During Spring Cleanup, residents can dispose of large, non-hazardous items that trash haulers do not normally pick up at NO CHARGE! Spring Cleanup will occur on the following schedule for 2021:
  • Area 1 - Saturday, April 17
  • Area 2 - Saturday, April 24
  • Area 3 - Saturday, May 1
  • Area 4 - Saturday, May 8
  • Household Hazardous Waste Drop Off: Items that may not be accepted at Spring Cleanup may be accepted at the household hazardous and electronic waste drop-off event on May 1! Broomfield residents can drop off items like aerosols, fertilizers, weedkillers, and more at NO CHARGE! Make an appointment, view a full list of accepted items, and view details such as drop-off times and location at Broomfield.org/HHW.
  • Broomfield Town Square is slated to break ground in 2022! The long-term development project in the heart of Broomfield is wrapping up key elements of pre-construction and will come to life over the next two years. Celebrate the project milestones and more through Broomfield.org/TownSquare.
  • Drop-In Access at City Facilities:
  • inventHQ reopens for drop-in open hours on Tuesday, April 13! Learn more at Broomfield.org/inventHQ.
  • Cardio equipment and weight rooms are now available via drop-in (without an appointment) at the Paul Derda Recreation Center and the Broomfield Community Center. Appointments are still required for Group Fitness Classes, Healthy Hearts, Pickleball, Gymnasium, and Child Watch. Visit B-REx.com for the latest programs and appointments.
  • Sustainability is a focal point of long-term social, economic, and environmental health for Broomfield. Celebrate Earth Day by participating in an entire week’s worth of fun activities that promote sustainability, creativity, and help keep the community and planet clean!   • Calling great minds! Your input is needed to help guide a series of conversations called “Science Meets” hosted by CSU Extension and the Broomfield Council on the Arts & Humanities. Share which topics matter to you now through April 30.
  • Join the discussion on “Coyotes of Broomfield” with Emily Beam, PhD Student and Researcher at CU-Boulder, Environmental Studies Program and Joelle Cicak, Multimedia Artist and Masters Students at CU-Boulder. Open Space and Trails will hold this Virtual Speaker Series at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7.
  • Work with a yoga instructor in a small group to focus on the primary poses used in yoga classes. Whether you have been attending for years or are new to your yoga practice, you will benefit from the Active Adult Yoga Workshop held on Wednesday, April 7 at the Broomfield Community Center.   • Interested in learning Pole Walking? Join the next session starting Wednesday, April 7! Learn more and register at B-REx.com for weekly classes from 8-9 a.m. every Wednesday in April. Meet at the Paul Derda Recreation Center where you will meet with a personal trainer and explore the trails. Poles provided.
