The past 30 days have been filled with preparation. Preparing minds, bodies, equipment, schedules, staff & athletes for the season start. We are thrilled that Snowbasin Resort is open this weekend and snow is expected to fly for the next four days.
As we click into our boots for the first time, please take a moment to review our best practices. We have a whole, glorious winter season ahead of us.
Be wise. Make good decisions. Know the rules. Remember we all have the responsibility to be ambassadors for the resort and seek ways to promote the sport we love to others in our community.

New Junior Coaching Initiative |
|
|
|
|
The Snowbasin Ski Team has launched a new Junior Coach initiative to develop coaching leaders of the future. Many of our Junior Coaches for the coming season are alumni of our Ski Team and will bring a depth of personal experience as well as strong technical skills to our young and developing athletes. Each Junior Coach will be partnered with an Senior Coach Mentor, registered and certified by the United States Ski and Snowboard Association. Please welcome them to the team. |

All registered athletes are eligible to receive 20% off a Snowbasin Season Pass. The following link is available for you to purchase your ATHLETE’s Pass. This link will be expiring 15 December 2023. If you haven't purchased your athlete's season pass now is the time.
REFUNDS: If you happened to purchase a season pass before you registered for a Snowbasin Ski Team, you can contact ticketsales@snowbasin.com for your 20% refund.
REMINDER: This link is only good for Snowbasin Ski Team athletes. Not parents or siblings. Only those registered to a team program.

Skier Responsibility Code |
|
- Always stay in control. You must be able to stop or avoid people or objects.
- People ahead or downhill of you have the right-of-way. You must avoid them.
- Stop only where you are visible from above and do not restrict traffic.
- Look uphill and avoid others before starting downhill or entering a trail.
- You must prevent runaway equipment.
- Read and obey all signs, warnings, and hazard markings.
- Keep off closed trails and out of closed areas.
- You must know how and be able to load, ride and unload lifts safely. If you need assistance, ask the lift attendant.
- Do not use lifts or terrain when impaired by alcohol or drugs.
- If you are involved in a collision or incident, share your contact information with each other and a ski area employee.
Your knowledge, decisions and actions contribute to your safety and that of others. If you need help understanding the Code, please ask any ski area employee.

Ski Team Base Yurt ~ Freeride & Devo |
|
Devo Minis will meet in the NE corner of Maples lot and ride the shuttle to the plaza to start their day.
Devo & Freeride will start their days at the Ski Team Base yurt. Parents can park in the Maples lot and walk up.
You can also utilize the resort vehicle load zone to drop off athletes, who can then walk to the right of the Ski School building and Maintenance buildings to get to the yurt.
Alpine will start their days in the Wildcat Lot K. Entrance to the lot, even for drop off, is available until the parking attendees deem the lot is full. If you miss the access window, use the resort vehicle load zone for drop off and have your athlete ride Little Cat up with the first load to meet the rest of the team. Youth Impact has long been a Snowbasin Ski team partner. Our common focus on youth forges a bond that is as synergistic today as when we first connected moons ago.

Eyes 4 Zimbabwe is a new association. We have been looking for a resource to repurpose unused (old OVOST logo) jackets from our past. Through one of our Devo families we are connecting to support destitute tribes with limited resources. Children learn in open air classrooms, which become hard to utilize in the winter when it's cold. Look for more information in the near future about this organization & how to help.
