ANNOUNCEMENTS
Study Groups for First-Year Students

During the Winter and Spring terms, we will one again offer the opportunity for first-year students to join study groups for common courses and study times. The groups are formed through a matching process based on courses and availability. If you are interested in a study group for one or more of your classes please fill out the form to indicate for which class you are interested in participating. Submit multiple forms if you wish to be matched for more than one class. Please sign up by end of the day on Saturday, January 8.

Teaching Opportunities for Soon-to-Be Graduates

The first year program is recruiting learning assistants for an externally-sponsored effort to enhance our first year design class ENGR 113. The position starts winter term and concludes in spring term. Seniors would be a great match since they will be on campus for both terms. However, non-seniors who can make the position work with their co-op obligations are also eligible. Learning Assistants will participate in training sessions and support course development activities during the winter of 2022. During the spring term students will assist with in-class activities and provide feedback to ENGR 113 students as directed by their section instructors. In addition, Learning Assistants will be in class to answer students general questions about being an engineering student at Drexel providing insight using their own experiences. Learning Assistants should expect a 2-4 hour commitment during the winter term and 4-6 hours a week during the spring term. Total effort is capped at 80 hours over the two terms. The primary qualification is to be a current Drexel undergraduate engineering student at the sophomore level or higher, who wants to strengthen our first year design program. Involvement with CoE student organizations is definitely a plus but not a requirement.
