Since our last newsletter, the Chapter Planning Committee has met on Saturday, January 23, 2020 and Saturday, February 6, 2021 to continue to plan for the March and April Assemblies. These assemblies will further prepare us for the upcoming Chapter “Behold I Am Doing Something New…Listen!” which will take place in July of this year. The dates for Chapter are July 25 through August 1, 2021.

Purpose of March and April Assemblies

During previous assemblies, we have identified the Focus Areas that we believe call us to deep conversation leading to clear directions for mission in the near future. A thread that has carried through all of the assemblies is the expressed desire for deepening our prayer and spirituality.  Conscious that these underpin all that we are and do, we hope to use the March and April assemblies to focus on our individual and corporate desire and readiness to be transformed by God’s grace.

The articles that we ask you to read in preparation for the assemblies speak to the transformation of religious life taking place at this moment in time. The authors call us to the hard, yet exhilarating and freeing, work of transformation. To fully participate in the critical conversation around transformation that we hope to engage at the assemblies, we strongly encourage you to read all of the articles and to take some time to reflect on them before the assembly you will be attending.
