A Message from the Principal
|
|
Dear Sheridan Families,
How exciting to have our Sharks back this week! It was such a joy to watch all of them get ALL their mass amounts of supplies out of cars on Monday and make their way back to their classrooms to their friends. They thoroughly enjoyed the snow and found creative ways to use sidewalk chalk to color it! I want to thank all of you for falling back into the routine of filling out the Self-Certification, getting the kids to school on time and having their masks! This was tremendously helpful for a smooth transition! Also, a quick reminder that there is NO SCHOOL on Monday in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.
Social Emotional Support
This is a challenging time for many of our students as they navigate both in-person and remote learning. Some of our students might be struggling with anxiety, stress, depression, or a significant lack of motivation and we have several staff members who can help parents navigate those challenges. Below is an introduction video from our school psychologist (Mrs. Heather Burroughs) and school social worker (Mr. Jeremy Brown) as well as their contact information. They are the best point of contact at the school level for support. You can also include your child’s teacher and principal on email communication.
