Marietta
"Román" North Coast Estate Grown Zinfandel 2019
A powerful estate-grown red named in honor of the Bilbro family's longtime cellarmaster Román Cisneros!
95/100 - Wine Advocate (6/3/2021) "The 2019 Roman Zinfandel (blended with 4% Barbera and 2% Petite Sirah) has a medium ruby-purple color and gregarious scents of candied peach, wild berry preserves, orange peel and tar. The palate is deeply fruited but light on its feet with bright freshness and loads of perfume on the long finish. Drink Date: 2021 - 2027." (California)

Auctioneer
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
91/100 - Wine Advocate (8/2/2021) "This has a bright sassafras and savory streak running through the middle of its juicy plum and blackberry compote-filled core, while a lively anise note wraps up the finish. Drink now through 2030." (California)

Château de Paraza
"Cuvée Spéciale" Minervois Rouge 2017
88+/100 - Our Score (3/2021) The "Cuvée Spéciale" from Château de Paraza has been a fixture in our stores for over a decade. Produced by the Danglas family, this authentic Southern French red blends 40% Grenache and 40% Syrah with 20% Mourvedre. Somewhat rustic, with earthy chew, yummy cassis and pepper-scented wild blackberry fruits, it is a perfect weeknight red that will transport you to the Minervois, along the banks of the famed Canal du Midi! (France)

Château Taillefer
Pomerol 2018
This tasty Bordeaux is just a baby. You'll want to give it a good hour or two in a decanter before serving!
92/100 - Decanter (3/27/2019)
90/100 - Vinous, Antonio Galloni (3/2021)
94/100 - James Suckling (1/26/2021) "Blackcurrant, blueberry, praline, chocolate and hazelnut aromas. Crushed stone, too. It's full-bodied with firm, powdery tannins. Rich and concentrated with creamy, velvety layers of ripe blue and black fruit. Toffee and chocolate notes linger. Try from 2025." (France)

Castello di Gabbiano
"Cavaliere d'Oro - Alleanza" Toscana Rosso 2015
93/100 - James Suckling (7/15/2019)
90/100 - Wine Advocate (9/19/2019) "The 2015 Alleanza Cavaliere d'Oro is a rich and full-bodied blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon with darkly concentrated fruit, backed by the soft exuberance and plump ripeness that defines this vintage. You really can't go wrong with a wine like this, because it delivers on all its basic promises. It is not particularly territory-specific, but it does hit all those hot buttons for a blended red wine from Tuscany with ripeness, richness and luscious dark concentration. After almost 18 months in French barrique and then 15 months in the bottle, there is still some astringency to the tannins, and that bitterness is worth mentioning. Drink Date: 2019 - 2026." (Italy)

Gainey
Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir 2018
91/100 - Wine Enthusiast (10/1/2020)
93/100 - Vinous, Antonio Galloni (8/2020) "The 2018 Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills is a fabulous Sta. Rita Hills Pinot. Racy and explosive, the 2018 packs a serious punch. Juicy dark red/purplish berry fruit, mint, lavender, spice and licorice notes are all pushed forward. Even with all of its fruit intensity, the 2018 retains terrific freshness and plenty of verve. It's the sort of wine that disappears in an instant at the dinner table. Drinking Window: 2020 - 2026." (California)

Jean Luc and Paul Aegerter
"Les Opales" Chablis 2019
90/100 - Our Score (7/2021)
90/100 - Wine Enthusiast (12/31/2020) "Creamy hits of lemon yogurt and buttermilk are intense on the nose of this wine. The palate brings the same milky roundness backed by a mealy, lemony texture. The finish is all bright lemon and creamy." (France)

Luigi Maffini
"Kratos" Paestum Fiano 2018
91/100 - Our Score (2/2021)
94/100 - Decanter (2/29/2020)
92/100 - Vinous, Eric Guido (5/2020) "The 2018 Fiano Kratos shows a rich and alluring display, leading off with ripe peach and sweet floral tones, as hints of lime zest, sweet cream, and white smoke lift from the glass. On the palate, silky, nearly-oily textures envelope the senses in a coating of ripe stone fruits with subtle sweet spices, all backed by brisk acids as inner florals, hints of mango, and even a note of banana evolves toward the close. The finish is long, buzzing with energy, as citrus-infused minerals and resonating acids cut through its lingering, ripe fruits and make for a spicy finale. Wow! Drink 2020 - 2026." (Italy)

Lagar da Condesa
"Kentia" Rías Baixas Albariño 2020
90/100 - Vinous, Josh Raynolds (6/2021) "Pale, green-tinged yellow. Lively orange, pear and floral scents are complemented by a hint of quinine. Shows fine clarity and nervy cut to juicy citrus and orchard fruit flavors that deepen on the back half. Lingers with bright, minerally persistence, leaving honeysuckle and orange zest notes behind. Drinking Window: 2021 - 2024." (Spain)

90+ Cellars
"Lot 2" Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2020
87/100 - Our Score (2/2021) This perennial Vin Chicago favorite delivers heaping helpings of classic New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc flavors for a wonderfully friendly price. A custom bottling made by the Spy Valley team for Kevin Mehra's 90+ Cellars, it is unmistakably Marlborough from the first sniff - exploding with passion fruit, guava, grapefruit and lemon balm. Finishing clean and dry, it is a happy wine with a personality as bright as the sun. (New Zealand)

Château d'Or et de Gueules
"Les Cimels" Costieres de Nimes Rosé 2020
91/100 - Wine Advocate (7/30/2021)
91/100 - Our Score (7/2021) The 2020 "Les Cimels" (Bouquet of Fruit) Rosé is a wonderfully unique blend of 40% Mourvedre, 40% Cinsault, 10% Grenache and 10% Syrah. Diane de Puymorin crafts the wine using only native yeasts, with no additions of any kind, fully embracing Biodynamic winemaking practices. This beautiful Rosé shows a platinum, pale pink in the glass and presents lovely notes of white raspberry, cherry, cranberry, sage, white pepper and a hint of bacon fat. In the mouth, it is rich and dense - the same way pink wines from Bandol or Tavel might be, yet this one is only 12% ABV and balanced with perfectly placed acidity! (France)

Cantina Carafoli
"L'Onesta" Lambrusco di Sorbara NV
90/100 - Our Score (8/2021) This Sobara Lambrusco bursts with aromas and flavors of violets, rose petal, black cherry essence, strawberry tops, basil and hot rocks. Offering an irrepressible pink froth of bubbles, it is soft, dry, clean and - most importantly - FUN! Find yourself some Soppressata, grab a picnic blanket and get the party started! (Italy)
