2022 Stewardship Campaign

CHRIST WORKING THOUGH US

"Thank you all for the many ways you support St Francis with your attendance, your service, your enthusiasm and your resources. The stewardship campaign for 2023 is over. We received pledges for $204,280 Though we fell short of our ambitious goal of $235,000 with God's help and the outstanding pledges still to come, we'll meet the financial needs of 2023.

Thank you again for your ongoing generosity and commitment to our wonderful St Francis by the Sea parish."

Thank you, Anne and Peter, for your dedication and hard work during such a challenging time in the life of our church and the world around us!

Suzanne and David Decrow were traveling recently and seeing the beginnings of Halloween displays. One the funniest was a group of skeletons on a porch with a sign that said “Skeleton Crew."

It reminded Suzanne that as the seasons progress, it really described the state of our Altar Guild-soon to be down to THREE! Our "Skeleton Crew" are Katie MacCloud, Prudy Heilner and Sarah Everdell. Suzanne and David will be away for the winter.

Help is needed. Thank you!

More!!

(A continuous Feast!)

Congratulations, Camper!

Six beautiful puppies were born yesterday!

(Milissa and John Paul are doing well, too.)

Did you know Lorraine Duffy is greeted everyday by her eagles-who then devour pounds and pounds of raw chicken? Or that Sarah and Tony Everdell vacationed this summer with alligators on their riverboat trip down the Mississippi? Thankfully Prudy and Fred Heilner’s beautiful kitties, Arlo and Zuri, slept through the whole thing right here in Blue Hill!

From Barbara in the church office:

Sunday, November 6, we will be celebrating All Saints Day. It is a time to remember our family and friends who have died. If you would like to remember a loved one, please write their name clearly on the insert (provided in Sunday's bulletin) and place it in the collection plate along with today's offering and their names will be included in next week's Bulletin. DEADLINE for submissions is the close of church office (noon) on Wednesday, Nov. 2nd. Thank you.

An eClare Note to All

"Thankfulness and Gratitude"

St Francis by the Sea, with the blessings of the Vestry, will set aside the month of November as a thirty day period of Thankfulness and Gratitude-a time to appreciate life and the gifts we are given each and everyday. Small (but significant) gifts, such as a smile from a friend, a phone call from distant family or friends, the magnificence of where we live and the beauty of what we see every morning as we wake up to a new day. Some will be thankful to have recovered from COVID, others may be grateful for a great new soup from the Blue Hill Co-op; seeing a bird migration, enjoying the cool weather!

Just email a few words, a sentence or two or a phone photo, or a quote you read recently…anything…just be in touch and know how thankful that through St Francis Church we have each other as a friends and parishioners.

Everyone, be part of this for all of us. If you are not feeling computer savvy, a phone message will work, as well. Call Judy or the church and leave a short message of gratitude. Either will be fine. We are a warm church. Your thoughts will be in eClare.

Thank you all! Humor is allowed, too!

*also, information will be coming out next week regarding our traditional Thanksgiving Baskets
