Families build better foundations in Habitat for Humanity houses. Partnering with Habitat brings our families a world of new opportunities - from financial security, self-reliance, job advancements and continuing education, to the freedom of living without crushing housing costs or overwhelming worry - all from the foundation of owning an affordable, new home.

The physical foundation of our Habitat home at 506 Wye Street in Denton has officially been laid, thanks to Martinez Brothers Concrete and Landscaping, LLC. See photos to the right for proof of their awesome work in pouring this concrete.

"Walls Up" on this home for the Crawford Family is taking place on Saturday, March 5, and we couldn't be more excited to start building this home! We are grateful to have 10 Denton County congregations who believe in this mission partnering with us on the Interfaith Build - our 106th home.

With home prices rising and the number of homes for sale declining, the dream of homeownership for so many Americans has moved well beyond the means of the middle-class, let alone the low-income families already struggling. The current housing market trends have only made Habitat's mission that much more urgent - Habitat builds affordable homes for families who would never be able to purchase a home on their own, helping to ensure a world where everyone has a decent place to live. In this way, Habitat builds hope.
Did you know that Dina Sosa, our 105th Homeowner, has worked at Calhoun Middle School for over 12 years? Her Denton ISD coworkers and friends supported her throughout the entire homeownership process, from volunteering on build days to attending the Dedication. They even collected furniture over several months, and, immediately following the Dedication on January 27, they helped Dina move in and furnish her new home!

Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity of Denton County brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
