Bozho,
We hope that February is bringing healing to you and your community. The Spring 2021 NNLPC Native Speaker Series is underway. On February 16th we featured the distinguished Ambassador Jonodev Chaudhuri and Attorney General Sara Hill to reflect on the landmark U.S. Supreme Court ruling, McGirt v. Oklahoma. On March 11th, we’ll again turn to the Supreme Court, but this time in anticipation for the upcoming oral arguments regarding tribal police powers in United States v. Cooley. And on April 12th, we’ll turn our gaze to the intersection of tribal and international law in featuring a newly published Tribal Toolkit on implementing the U.N. Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples into tribal law. We greatly look forward to virtually interacting with you through these events and look forward to seeing you there!
