City Hall Gallery Program Call to Artist

Attention artists! The City of Solana Beach and the Public Arts Commission invite you to submit proposals for the 2024 City Hall Gallery exhibitions. We're on the lookout for captivating individual or group art and educational exhibitions to be featured throughout the year. With six exhibitions planned, each spanning 8 weeks, here's your opportunity to make a lasting impression on the vibrant Solana Beach art scene. Solana Beach Senior Center's Open House

The Solana Beach Community Senior Center invites you to its annual season kick-off with an Open House on Wednesday, September 6th, at 10 AM at the Solana Beach Presbyterian Church. Please come to explore and learn about a variety of senior-related services, connect with specialists and vendors, and enjoy the lively tunes of the Rhapsody Singers while enjoying a complimentary lunch. Save the Date: Annual Coastal Cleanup Day

We hope you soaked up the sun yesterday on National Beach Day, celebrating the joys of our stunning coastline. But your opportunity to celebrate the coast isn't over yet! Mark your calendars for Coastal Cleanup Day on September 23, 2023, and join us in preserving the beauty of our beloved Solana Beach shores. Partnering with I Love A Clean San Diego, Coastal Cleanup Day brings together communities to tackle marine debris. Recent Aerial Larvicide Applications 

Once again, you might have noticed helicopters in action yesterday and today as they carried out their most recent spraying operations over the San Elijo and San Dieguito lagoons. These operations are part of the diligent work of the County Vector Control Program (VCP). There has been a noticeable increase in mosquito activity lately, due to factors such as warmer weather, higher tides and standing water left by Tropical Storm Hilary. To address this issue, the VCP has taken action by using helicopters to apply mosquito larvicide in areas where manual treatment is difficult. Most importantly, these larvicides pose zero risk to humans, pets, plants, or wildlife.

Labor Day Holiday Closures

City Hall Closure

EDCO Residential Service Delay

In observance of the Labor Day holiday, City Hall and all non-essential City buildings will be closed on Monday, September 4th. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, September 5th. Have a wonderful holiday!

In observance of the upcoming Labor Day holiday, EDCO's residential collection services will not be performed on September 4th, and all residential collections will be delayed by one-day all week following the holiday.
