Join Caracole for our fourth annual CaraConference, a free virtual educational event focused on the intersection of public health and HIV/AIDS. This year's conference, Building Health Equity: Addressing Disparities, Advocating for Change, will focus on the systems, policies and practices that limit or expand access to the resources needed for optimal health in our communities. Topics include: the pattern of disparities in pandemics; intersectionality: race, gender and sexuality; barriers to care for transgender and non-binary individuals; racism in health care; and how to advocate for policy change. Ten-time Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, rapper and bassist, Ndegeocello brings her unique blend of jazz, soul, rock, R&B, funk, and reggae to Memorial Hall’s intimate stage on September 4. Backed by her longtime band, Meshell performs in her distinctive musical style guided by rich, warm tones and her trademark sensuality and soul. Her career has spanned 14 albums, including three Grammy nominations for “Best Contemporary Jazz Album”, “Best Contemporary R&B Album” and “Best Urban/Alternative Album”, and collaborations and recordings with Madonna, John Mellencamp, Herbie Hancock and the Rolling Stones, among others.
Pre-concert reception from 6:30-8 p.m. features live local music from Aziza Love, light bites from Flavors of the Isle and Mattson Barbecue, and wine tastings from Markell-Bani Fine Wines.

ART FOR LIFE 2021
Art for Life will take place on October 23, 2021 at the Columbus Museum of Art.
Art for Life is a biennial art auction, started in 1989, that has helped raise awareness and approximately $4 million in funding for HIV/AIDS medical care, prevention, education, testing and advocacy services. The event is not only a celebration of the arts community and Equitas Health’s life-saving work, but also a celebration of life and the artists who enrich it. The 2018 Art for Life raised over one million dollars and more than 1,000 attendees, continuing its legacy as the most successful charity art auction fundraiser in Ohio.

Two monthly support meetings are held.
Second Tuesday monthly meetings start with a social period at 7:00 pm with the meeting from 7:30 to 9:30. After announcements, introductions and the program, we break into small groups and share our stories.

GLSEN Greater Cincinnati hosts a weekly Youth Group meeting. The GLSEN Youth Group is a safe and welcoming space for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth and their allies to gather. Each week the group explores a topic of interest to middle and high school-aged youth with an emphasis on LGBTQ issues. Youth group also includes weekly social time and a quarterly social outing or activity. GLSEN Youth Group relies on a series of youth generated ground rules to keep our space supportive and positive. We participate in days of action sponsored by GLSEN national and provide opportunities and resources for group members to organize actions in their school community, such as Day of Silence and Ally Week.
