Good News: May 2022
Dear LCH Friends,

During the last month or so, LCH has implemented community programs of which we could only dream of during the last 24 months of the pandemic. I am fond of saying that LCH is its people. In just two years, necessity and technology have converged and upended our assumptions about the nature of community. LCH’s people took on the challenge to experiment and evolve and we are back out in the community once again making a difference in the lives of others.

Be well,

Healthy Tips
Mental Health Mythbusters
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. In our recent blog, our behavioral health team shares some common myths about mental health. Many people experience acute or chronic stress, depression, anxiety or other mental illnesses. This month is an opportunity to break the stigma and talk about mental health with our loved ones.
Talking with Children about Domestic Violence
Talking about domestic violence with your child can be a difficult conversation, but it is an important one. Teach them early. Listen and learn. Join LCH and DVCCC as we read, "Say Something" by Peggy Moss. LCH Pediatrician Paula D. Brenn, MD, FAAP, and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Atley Aaron, CRNP, MSN, CPN, join in on the conversation after the story.
Clara Vazquez from DVCCC and Daphne Alos from LCH read in English.
Waleska Campos-Figueroa

Meet the Team
Meet Dr. Chioma, LCH Dentist
Meet Chioma Onyeri, DMD, General Dentist at LCH. When we asked Dr. Chioma why she decided to become a dentist, she said, "I decided to become a dentist because I always loved a beautiful smile, which starts with a healthy mouth. And a healthy mouth results in healthy body."
