Christ Is Our Cornerstone
In Our Prayers: We are praying for our St. Peter alumni. The week of April 6, we will be praying for the St. Peter Lutheran School Class of 2003: Julie Chadwick, Megan Earley, Laura Herhold, Carla Jerry, Anthony Lieber, Jessica Miller, Amanda Mueller, Sarah Pankow, Christina Rames, Hannah Robinson, Brittney Suppes, Joseph Watson and Scott Zill.
Devotion of the Week: What are you sure of these days? Are you sure that you have enough money for retirement? Are you sure that you are purchasing the best laundry detergent to clean your clothes? Are you sure that you are getting enough exercise? Are you sure that your doctor is the best person to perform your surgery? We live in a world where it is difficult to be certain of many things. Take for example the COVID-19 vaccines. Some people are unsure if it will work; some are unsure how long it will last; some are unsure if it will result in other issues. We could spend hours, days, and weeks being concerned about our certainty with many different things, but there is one thing that is sure, that is certain, that comforts us when the uncertainties of today shadow the blessings that we have through our gracious, heavenly Father. Even though Easter was celebrated a couple of weeks ago, that celebration really never ends. We can continue to exclaim, "Christ is risen! He is risen, indeed! Alleluia!" Jesus has conquered sin, death, and the devil. We have been saved through the death of Christ and His bodily resurrection. As Romans 8:38-39 reminds us, "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." In a world filled with uncertainties, how wonderful it is to have the reminder that Christ is risen and to know our students are hearing that powerful message every day in school. May God continue to bless you and your family through your certain hope of our forgiveness of sins and eternal salvation with our crucified, resurrected, ascended, and returning Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, our Cornerstone.
Fourth Quarter Chapel Project: Our fourth quarter will be supporting LHF Gospel Adventures: Thailand Trek. Gospel Adventures is a program of Lutheran Hour Ministries and shows the different methods and opportunities that Christians worldwide use to share the Good News. A main feature of Gospel Adventures is the opportunity for kids in the United States to help raise funds that directly support children in other regions all over the globe. Since 2012, kid donors have given around $200,000 to support Lutheran Hour Ministries’ Global Kids Fund that supports kid-centered ministry efforts in countries around the world. This year, LHM is focusing on children in Thailand. Thank you for encouraging your child to bring weekly chapel offerings. Last quarter, we supported our Hearts for Jesus project with almost $1,000 which will be used to send Bible based books to children in Indonesia!

What's Your Story
This week, one of our younger students went up to her teacher and was talking about what she thought of St. Peter. The teacher noticed some tears welling up in the young girls eyes and asked if she was ok. The student broke down while stating, "I am just so happy to be here. This is the best place ever! I love it here." Pointing to her eyes she concluded with, "These are happy tears!"

We are always looking for additional stories to share. Please click here to send us your story to be published in the Panther Press.
