Manufacturer, Abbott Laboratories has made a motion before the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation in an effort to centralize the infant formula lawsuits pending against them in various districts.
The harmed plaintiffs contend that Defendant’s milk-based infant formula causes necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) when given to premature babies. NEC is serious gastrointestinal problem that inflames intestinal tissue, causing it to die.
