Silage Piles
Silage pile season is coming up quickly. We encourage all our families to help at the silage piles. It is a fantastic community builder and the funds go to benefit the entire school.

Once again, the board will divide these funds accordingly. 70% of the donations will go toward the building fund and our new addition while the other 30% of the donations will go toward tuition assistance. We consider many factors when handing out tuition assistance to those who apply each year, your participation at these piles will be one of those considerations.

ALL families who participate with the silage piles (at the pile or bringing supplies) will have the option to apply for assistance, whether you received an ESA or not. That application will come out after the silage pile season is complete.

Thank you again, we could not do this without all our willing volunteers!
Registration Information
Thank you to those who came to our first night of registration. The final night to register is Monday, August 14 from 5:00-8:00pm. Any family who did not come to the first registration night, must come Monday, August 14 or contact the office 737-2274 if you cannot be there.

Families approved for the ESA: please be sure you have logged onto the Odyssey Website to choose OCCS as your school, and again to CONFIRM the total tuition charges entered by OCCS once we have verified your child. Thank you!

GLC Information
Please be thinking if you would like to be a GLC (Grade Level Coordinator) for your student's teacher this school year. It is a great way to be a blessing to the teacher, get to know the students in your child's classmates and serve in the classroom throughout the 2023/2024 school year. Questions, please contact a GLC Facilitator.

For those of you who are new to OCCS and are not familiar with what a GLC is, it is much the same as being a room parent. The goal of a GLC is to equip and coordinate a classroom throughout the school year. Our goal is to help aid our teachers effectively in things such as field trips, parties, duty-free lunches or functions specific towards their grade. We anticipate needing two GLC’s per teacher for K-4 and one per teacher for grades 5-8.

We will have a sign up table set up at registration and would appreciate having you stop by to sign up for your child’s classroom or to answer any questions you may have specific to the program. It is our desire to have all GLC’s in place prior to the beginning of the school year.

Thank you for your consideration in helping out your child’s teacher & their classroom.
