The college’s website has been updated to the university template and offers new features and information. Special thanks to college webmaster Neal Bair and his team, as well as the USU Web Team, for their help with the transition.
USU Physics November Demo Show
Friday, Nov. 19
“Let There Be Light” is the theme of USU Physics’ 14th annual November Demo Show this Friday at 7 p.m. in ESLC 130. All are welcome and admission is free. 
Applications for 2022-23 USU Scholarships Open Dec. 1
USU introduces “ScholarshipUniverse,” a new scholarship application platform, which includes all university, College of Science, and departmental scholarships. Apply online, beginning Wednesday, Dec. 1, with one application, to be considered for multiple opportunities. If you wish to be considered for need-based scholarships, as well as merit-based scholarships, you will need to fill out the FAFSA. USU Observatory Hosts Public Night Dec. 3
All are invited to view the night sky from the USU Observatory telescope Friday, Dec. 3, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The observatory is located on the roof of the SER Building. All ages are welcome and admission is free. Please visit the observatory’s website for updates prior to arrival on Dec. 3, as the gathering will be canceled in the event of cloudy or inclement weather.

USU SACNAS Chapter
Seeks New Members, Officers
The USU Chapter of SACNAS (Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science) encourages student success and diversity on campus, along with participation in research and outreach. All undergrads and grad students are welcome, regardless of ethnicity.

Offers Student Hardship Fund 
The College of Science Hardship Fund provides one-time, emergency financial assistance to students within the college who are experiencing a crisis. This fund is separate from the university’s Student Emergency Fund, from which science majors may also apply for assistance. To access the fund’s website, select “Students” from the main navigation bar on the College of Science home page and select “Student Hardship Fund” from the drop-down menu.
