City Manager Molly McGovern is having the Best Week Ever after being surprised at Monday evening's City Council meeting by the Business Women of Missouri who presented her the annual Community Activist Award. This is in recognition for the work that she has done in obtaining millions of dollars in grants that will be used to completely transform and upgrade our community. This was done during Business Women's Week after the Business Women were presented with a City resolution. | |

The American Legion Post 236 will be hosting a Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, December 3rd from 8am-Noon at the American Legion at 208 Veterans Memorial Drive. They're asking that you bring a new unwrapped toy valued at $10 or a donation of $10.
The Legion are not the only ones that will have events for local kids this Christmas. The Elms has already sold out of their "Glow Into the Holidays" event on December 8th!

Community Unity Rally Recognizes First Responders in Light of Recent Tragedies |
A small group of about twenty citizens gathered on Saturday, October 22nd at Tiger Stadium to recognize first responders and the work that they do. The community has been on edge after experiencing a domestic murder, an officer being shot, and kidnapping all within a few weeks of each other.
