“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” ~ 1 Peter 2:9
Dear Friends: The new year is off to an enlightening start, as we continue to watch God work in the lives of our teens. I pray that you are all staying healthy and making the most of God's beautiful art work in nature!

Praise God For:
~ One of our young men who chose to accept Jesus into his heart!
~ One of our young ladies who has found her voice in her art, and is beaming as it helps her to gain self-confidence!
~ Time spent at home over the holiday with families, and a chance to experience positive changes taking place.
~ The beauty of Him calling us out of darkness into His marvelous LIGHT; I pray that we are all looking for His LIGHT amidst our everyday reality.

Pray For:
~ Our teens to desire to come out of the darkness into His light. . .
~ Our teens to experience break throughs so they can surrender to God the hurts of their past, trusting Him to help them find the healing needed. Sometimes it seems like they are just going to explode because they don't know what to do with everything that is building up within.
~ Our staff to have the right words to help with the break through at just the right time, so as to minister to what is holding each teen back.
~ Staff to be filled with peace beyond all understanding as we all go about ministering to the teens, and for God to bring the right people to fill positions to meet our staffing needs.
~ Those with health issues to know God's comfort, strength and hope while waiting for His healing.
~ An administrative assistant to help with marketing (see: Admin Assistant/Jobs)

Blessings . . .
Jan

PS: FYI: Our pictures of the boys in action are limited, as Jack is the only boy we have permission to release photos to the public.

The boys have been doing some interesting art projects. Jack's ornament and coaster turned out beautiful!

God's beauty in nature has been outstanding lately. The boys had an opportunity to get outdoors and learn some photography skills; this is one of their prize photos!
Art is therapeutic in so many ways; here's another project the boys worked on in the classroom.
