August was a big month for me. I had a special birthday ending with “5”. Just so happens I was able to celebrate in Canada with my friend Laura Coia, SewVeryEasy,and her husband, Ivo, Cooking with the Coias. I spent the week before my birthday first by giving a class near Toronto at Bernina Canada, then a few days later at Kindred Spirits Quilt Co in St. Catherine’s, Ontario. The weather was glorious. In between, I gave a West Coast SCHMETZ virtual, ate and drank well, and did a bit of sightseeing with Laura near Niagara Falls, Canada. Never in my dreams did I imagine 2” of steel could deliver such dynamic, colorful, generous, and vibrant friendships all stitched together from the love of sewing with SCHMETZ home sewing needles. Thank you, dear friends, for your inspiration and friendship. I look forward to seeing you soon.

Last time, your sewing and quilt projects inspired us and loads of SCHMETZ fans. Let’s do it again!

What sewing project have you recently completed with a SCHMETZ needle?
