Thankful for our Members

If you’ve been to the zoo recently you know there are new animals and new animal habitats. If you have participated in a zoo education camp or class, you know how impactful these programs are. If you’ve watched an animal being fed by a zookeeper, you’ve experienced and learned about wild animals in a unique way. Miller Park Zoo is a special place and our members are significant contributors to its success.

With the past year’s numerous improvements to zoo grounds, habitats, and animal wellbeing, we are pleased to be an integral part of the progress and improved member experience. Starting January 1, 2024, membership costs will experience a moderate increase to reflect the many improvements to the zoo, along with programs and events. Rest assured that the zoo will remain an affordable place for all to visit, as it has for over 130 years. 

RENEW NOW - If your membership renewal date is before March 1^st 2024, renew now at the current price and receive a full year of member benefits added to your current renewal date.

BECOME A MEMBER - If your membership has lapsed or if you want to become a member for the first time, join before the end of the year and receive two extra months of member benefits.

On behalf of the animals and staff who call Miller Park Zoo home, thank you for your support. We hope to see you soon at the zoo!

Member Appreciation

November is Member Appreciation Month and we have teamed up with the McLean County Museum of History and the Children's Discovery Museum to offer members of any of our organizations a 20% discount in our gift shop.

That means MPZS Members receive a 20% discount in the Zootique and at two other amazing gift shops - Take advantage of this deal, now through the end of November.

What's Happening

Presents for Paws

Looking for a unique gift and a way to support the zoo? While supplies last, take home one of these handmade ornaments featuring paw prints from some of your favorite Miller Park Zoo animals! Ornaments are currently available at AB Hatchery in Bloomington, or at the Zootique starting November, 24th.

All proceeds from the Presents for Paws tree will help purchase enrichment items. Thank you to those who purchased and donated last year. We made over $1500 and were able to purchase some great gifts for our animals!
