STATEMENT FROM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR PHILIP E. COLE
COLUMBUS (January 7, 2021) — The United States of America is the standard for democracy and its protector worldwide. The insurrection on January 6, 2021 and the failure of our current president to renounce that insurrection threatens our democracy and our standing in the world. For America to continue to promote democracy and democratic institutions to other nations, we must act on our beliefs and protect our own democracy and democratic institutions. This demands action as nothing can do more to imperil our form of government than to do nothing when it is threatened.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the Ohio Association of Community Action Agencies, I call for either the resignation of President Donald J. Trump or his Constitutional removal from office.
