Bond Election Results
On Saturday, 124 districts proposed 204 bond propositions with a total of almost $17 billion in locally proposed projects to voters. A total of 67 of those 124 districts saw at least one proposition approved by voters. 54% of districts saw 51% of the proposed propositions pass, with 64% of the total amount proposed approved.

You can click on the link below to see the details of these bond elections that we have tracked. We will continue updating the shared sheet as more information becomes available, as there are a few districts for which we have not been able to track down results at the time this message was written. That means we may see a slight change in those overall numbers and percentages. The spreadsheet has two lists available that allow you to view by district and by proposition.
State law changed in 2019, requiring that certain propositions be proposed separately and itemized. We have taken a deep dive looking at the purpose of the various bond proposals, and will continue further analysis on this topic. We have labeled all propositions that are not required to be itemized by law "Instructional Facilities." To be fair, this category can also include buses, land, administration buildings, transportation facilities, and the like. Of all the bonds proposed, 59% were instructional facilities, and this comprised 90% of the total proposed dollar amount. Of all the bonds approved, 64% of them were instructional facilities, which comprised 95% of the total dollar amount approved.

We'll be sharing more on this data in the coming weeks. Please let us know if you have any questions. Also, please let us know of any districts you know of that may not be listed on our sheet or details that need to be corrected. It's a lot of data to collect in a short period of time, and we're always open to help improving it!
