Weekly Director Letter 1/28/2022
Dear Parents,
In a blink of an eye, this is the last weekly letter of January. With February around the corner, I would like to announce a school fundraiser that will be easy for all families. If you or anyone you know likes pizza, this fundraiser is for you. We will be selling Papa John's Pizza cards for the next 2 weeks. Each card costs $10 and Kids For Kids Academy receives $8 on every card sold. This card is good for 50% off of your Papa John's Pizza orders for the next year. Cards can be used 18 times. If you plan on ordering pizza for your child's birthday at school, home parties, or even just dinner in, you can use the card for half off your orders for the next year. Please consider selling cards to family, coworkers, or friends.

All monies raised will be used for repairs to our school playground and garden. The class that sells the most cards will win a pizza party and the child who sells the most gets a prize pack from Papa Johns. Sibling sales will count in the classes of each sibling. (If you have 2 children and sell 10 cards, both children's classes will be credited with the 10 card sale.

Please turn in all order forms and money by February 14th. Checks can be made payable to Kids For Kids Academy or we can bill your Brightwheel accounts. We hope that if you do not wish to sell cards that each family commits to purchasing one card.

This week in our Science Lab, our VPK kids did an experiment with me on mixing colors. Here is a link to the 10 minute video. Photos were posted on Facebook.

With Valentine's Day around the corner, I hope your child will participate in the class Valentine Exchange. Click here for more information or see the signs posted outside the school.

Reminder:
If your child is in VPK, Kindergarten, First or Second Grade, your final supply fee will be billed to your Brightwheel account on Monday, February 7th.

Finally, thank you to the Vaezi Family, the Noel Family, and the Puentes Family for taking time out of their busy week to help weed and clean out our school garden. We can always use help at the school, even 30 minutes a week to help rake the leaves on the playground. Please see me if you are interested.
Next week our students will start spending time counting and measuring the tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and other veggies.

Have a Great Weekend with your child,
Beth Rosenthal Davis, Ed.S, NBCT
