Dear Friends,
After the events of last week, it's good to remind ourselves of the power that the arts and humanities have to meet grief and trouble with beauty and truth. They offer the words and the vision that will enable us to move forward.
We'd like to share with you some of the exceptional Vermont artists who inspired us in 2020.
Each year, the Vermont Arts Council recognizes outstanding individual and organizational contributions to the arts in our state. In 2020, we were unable to present the Vermont Arts Awards in person. We're delighted to introduce our five awardees through these brief videos, beautifully produced by award-winning filmmaker Sean Kirby. We hope each will give you a glimpse into the exceptional talent and creative vision that the artists bring to their work and to Vermont.
