Thank You

by Ross Gay

If you find yourself half naked

and barefoot in the frosty grass, hearing,

again, the earth's great, sonorous moan that says

you are the air of the now and gone, that says

all you love will turn to dust,

and will meet you there, do not

raise your fist. Do not raise

your small voice against it. And do not

take cover. Instead, curl your toes

into the grass, watch the cloud

ascending from your lips. Walk

through the garden's dormant splendor.

Say only, thank you.

Thank you.

Did You Miss the Musical?

It's not too late to see Musical Theater's production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Sadly it's not the performance where Ms Neel was disqualified for misspelling bourgeoisie, Mr Chipps was disqualified for misspelling isosceles, and Mr Scilletta was introduced as the world's tallest fifth grader, but it's still a ton of fun from a very talented cast. Watch now.

Bell Time Change Information Session

Please join SPS in an online event Tue, May 3 at 5:30 pm for updates on the 2022/23 district-wide bell time change proposal. Seattle Public Schools is proposing to change school start times for all schools beginning in Sep 2022.  We know changing the bell times will require adjustments for families and staff. This change is recommended to ensure students consistently arrive at school on time. During this event, you will hear details about the SPS bell times proposal from district leaders and answers to frequently asked questions. American Sign Language (ASL), Amharic, Cantonese, Somali, Spanish, and Vietnamese interpreters will be available. After the event, a recording will be posted to the bell time changes webpage. Live Zoom link will be posted on Mon, May 2.

Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining"!
