Dear St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School Families,

We are thankful to see the numbers in Orange County declining over the past few weeks.  However, we were informed of a positive case.  As is our procol, we are informing the community for full transparency.  A report has been made to the Orange County Health Care Agency (OCHCA) as required.  Contact tracing has been done both by myself and our Covid Coordinator Jennifer Nieto and may be followed up on by OCHCA.  The Diocesan COVID Dashboard has been updated.

If you or your child(ren) were in contact with this individual, you have already received notice of that fact.  If you have not received communication, that means you or your child(ren) have not been identified as a close contact.  Individuals who test positive must remain isolated for 10 days from the onset of symptoms / positive test and meet criteria to discontinue isolation, which includes being fever-free for a minimum of 48 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication, other symptoms have resolved.

St. Francis is committed to providing accurate and transparent information regarding COVID-19 cases on our campus, while also maintaining our legal responsibility to ensure privacy and confidentiality for affected individuals. Let's all commit to maintaining privacy for those involved.

If you have any questions, please contact Jennifer Nieto at [email protected].  As a reminder, if your child or anyone in your family exhibits symptoms of COVID-19, please contact your family's pediatrician.

Be safe and be hopeful,

Jeannette Lambert
