620 Median Project Approved
On Monday, December 9, Lakeway City Council voted unanimously to approve a transportation safety project that will include slotted medians being placed along 620 by the end of summer 2020. This project, funded by the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT), will span from the southern portion of Lohmans Crossing Boulevard and run slightly past the north side of Bella Montagna Circle. TXDOT engineer, Epi Gonzales, attended the meeting to provide updates and stated that the last day of school for the Lake Travis Independent School District in May falls in line with the timing for the project. Gonzales assured that m ost of the construction work will be conducted at night, and despite a final timeline being set, he is confident that it can be substantially complete by the end of summer.
