Athletics & Beyond Family Wellness Center

NEEDS STATEMENT:

Having a facility to provide space for overlooked populations, businesses, and organizations seeking space to have meetings in addition to healthy living addresses the needs of the community. Surrounding I-70 is North Aurora is Montbello and the neighboring community of Green Valley Ranch (GVR). We serve the three communities with a combined population of nearly 90,000 people.

ATHLETICS & BEYOND (A&B) is proud to continue our steady growth with the acquisition of our own facility. We have a “multi-generational one-stop-shop” for the community in youth athletic development, healthy living for families, youth, and adult weight training. The building is in the heart of an underserved but growing area of Denver serving: The Far Northeast corridor (Green Valley Ranch, Montbello, Aurora, and Stapleton). This wellness center is a Service Market Fit in these high-growth neighborhoods, which are at the center of the Airport City investment area.

The mission of A&B is to create OPPORTUNITY through EXPOSURE for high school and college-aged at-risk and or at-promise youth throughout life stages (Beyond Sports). We accomplish this through Mentoring, Tutoring, Apprenticeships, Career Exploration, Entrepreneurship, Employment, Life Skills, and Educational Advancement. We have developed strategic partnerships to date in the Engineering and Skilled Trades Industries and are continuing to develop relationships in the Scientist, Science & Technology, Business Management, and Construction Industries. We are a non-profit devoted to creating marketable and successful young citizens as well as engaging youth with sport-specific training.  A&B engages youth and provides OPPORTUNITY through EXPOSURE regardless of if youth are engaged in the sports realm or not. Many of our youth are engaged in the creative realm or academic-driven realm. We cater to all the above.

This building allows A&B a PLACE to be the center of the commUNITY.

A PLACE to gather thoughts and ideas.

A PLACE to get opinions on everyday life situations.

A PLACE to get tutoring and advice on what pathway to take in education, healthy living resources, and specialized athletic training.

It’s our PLACE - our HOME.
