Lilian Merino immigrated to San Francisco from El Salvador at the age of three. As a child with temporary citizenship status, Lilian personally experienced positive outcomes from the same kind of safety net programs that Redwood Community Health Coalition (RCHC) provides. She received her well child visits, immunizations and emergency care from an FQHC called Mission Neighborhood Health Center. In her teens, Lilian moved to Sonoma County where she continues to reside.

Lilian is now in the FQHC workforce and is dedicated to advocating for Sonoma County communities and providing similar resources to those she humbly received as a child. Lilian started her career with RCHC as a Certified Enrollment Counselor and has progressively advanced to her current position as Program Manager. Through her many roles at RCHC, she has provided resources directly to the public as well as to RCHC’s health centers. Lilian is currently working to bridge relationships between health systems and community-based organizations and build cross sector resource networks to advance community health in an anti-racist approach.

Neighborhood Resource Centers Action Team

Wednesday 2/9, 3:00pm - 4:30pm

Please join us to continue last month's conversation on referral workflows and mapping and assessments of current CHW efforts in Sonoma County.

Community Accountability Action Team

Thursday 2/17, 1:30pm - 3:00pm

This month this team will delve into the communications plan in development for Sonoma Connect | Sonoma Unidos and review and provide recommendations for the vendor selection criteria for the RFP (Request for Proposal process.

Resource Connection Network Action Team

Monday 2/28, 1:00pm - 3:00pm

The RCN action team will discuss the data gathered from the mentimeter poll on the RFP selection criteria and discuss how to incorporate this data in the vendor selection.

ACE Screening Clinical Implementation Action Team

Thursday 3/3, 2:00pm-3:00pm

This action team will now be meeting the first Thursday of the month at 2:00pm - 3:00pm. Please join us to continue our conversation on stress busters.

Learning Opportunities

Northern California Center for Wellbeing's Community Health Worker Training

You now have more time to enroll in NCCWB's Community Health Worker training. Classes will start Friday, March 4, 2022, and will be offered in English and Spanish and held weekly on Fridays from 2-5pm.

Please enroll in the training by February 28, 2022.
