February in Florida is one of my favorite months. Mosquitos are at a minimum and the plants and animals are flourishing. Ospreys, also known as “fish hawks”, are nesting at this time as well. The colder weather also provides some of the best times to view manatees who like to huddle together in the warmer, shallow waters. You may be able to spot them while kayaking the St. Sebastian River, canals, the Sebastian Inlet State Park, and all along the Indian River Lagoon.
