Have a fun and safe Winter Break!
See you all back at school on Monday, January 3!
We Want To Hear From You!

Parent/Student/Employee LCAP and Learning Loss Survey
Annually, the District conducts a survey to gather information from a variety of sources about the educational environment within PVPUSD that contributes to the production of high academic achievement levels for all students. This year, we have added questions related to learning loss from school closure that would help inform the District’s next step.

This is an anonymous survey, and the collective results will be shared during Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) meetings to guide local priority development, actions, and services related to the conditional of learning, achievement outcomes, safety, and stakeholder engagement.
We value each respondent, and it is important that we get a representative sample from our community.

PVPHS MUN
PVPHS MUN is back in force this semester! So far we have competed in a total of 6 conferences this first semester. We have competed in all the major Model UN Conferences, each averaging over 1000 delegates! Our students continue to excel and their performances are marked with several individual awards in each conference!
We want to congratulate our MUNers and look forward to an even more rewarding Spring Semester where we will compete in several University run conferences as well!

We average 2 conferences per month all year where our delegates can choose those that fit their schedule! Many of our graduates have gone on to do Model UN at the University level from the skills they have learned!!

Looking forward to an even better Spring semester where we will be competing in 8-9 additional conferences!!

A special thank you to our Secretariat/officers for their assistance!

We are looking forward to maintain our ranking in the top 10% of all schools on the West Coast!

Please see below for our individual conference performance & photos!

South Bay Families Connected: Focus on youth wellness

Finally, after a full year of distance learning, some students have, understandably, experienced the return to in-person learning as a social challenge. PVPUSD partner South Bay Families Connected (SBFC), a network of 115 schools in the South Bay, has organized Teaching Social Skills: Resources for Parents and Guardians, which contains a video featuring students at local schools, including PVPHS’s own Rhys Moon, sharing their perspectives regarding the social ups and downs of returning to in-person learning. There you will also find some useful tips to support your children and teens as they develop and refine their own social skills. For related resources, please visit the SBFC Healthy Relationships Page. The SBFC Virtual Teen Center contains a wide variety of mental health and wellness topics. To see more youth wellness resources provided by PVPUSD and SBFC, please visit our own PVPUSD Families Connected
Sincerely,

Dr. Brent Kuykendall
Principal
