MESSAGE FROM JIMMY
This weekend we will observe a sacred worship service known as All Saints Sunday. Saints are not those who live perfect earthly lives, but rather those who are redeemed by Christ and enter the church triumphant. I ask you to observe a moment this week to remember the following church members who have died this past year and their families: Rosemarie Regina, Alvin Douglas Montgomery, Bonita Allen, Ty Conerly, Bob Pollard, Jackie Tyer, Maude Abraham, Leslie Adcock, Dennis Reese, Beverly Yeates, Annette Thomas, Vivia Gunn, Mike Koskie, Sandra Edwards, John Baker, Paul Box, and John Kitts.
The church is built on the witness of those who have lived faithfully before God while on this earth. Meanwhile, we find comfort in knowing that they are part of the great crowd of witnesses who rejoice in the full presence of Christ. It brings us immense joy to honor and cherish their incredible legacy and the profound impact they have left on our lives.
One final note - Our fall Stewardship campaign will begin this Sunday. Stewardship month is an opportunity for us to renew our membership covenant with our local church. Our support of each other through prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness binds us in covenant and mission. I once heard a prominent pastor of a large mid-western church say, “The local church is the hope of the world.” At first, I thought that statement sounded a little strange. I believe Jesus Christ is the hope of the world. After giving it some more thought, I have come to agree with him. How is Christ made known in the world? His love and grace are revealed through His people. “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it” (1 Corinthians 13:27). Christ's mission is our shared responsibility, and we all play a vital role in fulfilling it. Let's work together to make it happen, church!

BREAKTHRU 2024
Calling all youth! I know it seems like we just got back from fall retreat (because we did) but registration is OPEN for Breakthru 2024! We are excited to be back at BreakThru this year. Every year, teens from across the southeast travel to Timber Creek Camps for a long weekend of worship, messages, small groups, epic color wars and more. This is our 46th year to attend Breakthru and we want YOU to come! This year’s theme is “SOS.” There is one great Epic story and God invites each of us to step into His Kingdom plan and find our identity and purpose. The only way for that to happen is for Jesus to Save Our Story! Register today by clicking HERE. We have LIMITED spots, so I’d suggest an early registration!

Just a quick reminder that all Operation Christmas Child boxes are due back to the office, in the sanctuary or in the worship center by Friday, November 10th! We will pray over the boxes in church on the 12th and deliver them to be sent across the world that very next day.

MINISTRY SPOTLIGHT OF THE WEEK | |
As the spooky season comes to a close, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who made our community Trunk or Treat event a ghostly success! We couldn't have orchestrated such a ghoulishly good time without your support. Your dedication and hard work transformed our parking lot and gym into a haven of Halloween magic. Your smiles and spirited interactions with the attendees made the evening even more delightful. Seeing the joy on the faces of the children and the young at heart was the ultimate reward for all of us.
We had 28 meticulously decorated trunks set up in our parking lot that made the event truly enchanting, an estimated 1,000 people attended our spooktacular event who brought the spirit of Halloween to life with their vibrant costumes and joyful laughter, Mike McGuffie and the Methodist Men worked tirelessly to graciously serve close to 500 meals with smiles on their faces, and our chili cook-off fundraiser sold over 100 bowls of chili raising more than $500 to support Kids Ministry. It's because of people like you that we can continue to host events that bring our community closer together.
We hope you had as much fun as we did. Please remember that this is your event as much as it is ours. Thank you for your ongoing support and for being a part of our ministry. Your involvement is what makes our events so special.
We're already brewing up ideas for next year's Trunk or Treat, and we hope that you will be a part of it once again. Until then, we wish you a happy and safe Halloween. May your days be filled with treats, and your nights be spooktacular!
