Luminary Loppet on Lake of the Isles

If you're looking for a way to get out an enjoy the cold this weekend, head out to the Luminary Loppet on Lake of the Isles on Saturday. The Luminary Loppet is part of the City of Lakes Loppet Winter Festival, which runs all weekend and includes cross-country ski events, fat-tire bike events, snowshoe events, and more.

Minneapolis Redistricting
Final Public Hearings: February 9 and February 24

The Charter Commission is scheduled to approve the maps at its meeting on March 2. The final public hearings are scheduled for 7:00pm, Wednesday, February 9 and 4:00pm, Wednesday, February 24. The hearings can be watched in real time on the City's website, the City's YouTube channel, or on Comcast channels 14 or 799.

On November 29, 2021, the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) published a draft of the updated MPRB Land Policy for an initial 60-day public comment period ending January 27, 2022.
The public comment period has now been extended until March 17. The Land Policy guides MPRB's land use policies and procedures. To view the Land Policy and comment, go to this web page.

FREE Old-Home Energy Efficiency & Weatherization Workshops
|
|
Rethos, a regional non-profit that advocates for the reuse and repair of old buildings, was recently awarded a Green Partners grant by Hennepin County to support a series of DIY old-home weatherization and energy efficiency workshops for Hennepin County homeowners, renters, and caretakers.
