April 2021

FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK

As the warm winds, sunshine and longer days come upon us, it also means Ohio Graduation Testing for our young people. Our teaching staff has done an incredible job preparing students for the assessments in English, Algebra, Geometry, U.S History, Government and Biology during the Pandemic. We appreciate your patience and flexibility, especially on Wednesdays to provide a quiet testing place for students.

We congratulate our Hayes Yearbook Staff for achieving the Walsworth Gallery of Excellence Award for their outstanding publication. They work hard to produce a historical keepsake and memorable documentation of our school year. It is truly a treasure to see and thanks to our dedicated group of students led by Mr. Aaron Sherman, our Yearbook Advisor.

We look forward to many activities at Hayes during this final quarter. I am so proud of our students and staff for continuing to keep us safe and healthy. We will never forget this 2020-2021 school year. We are planning right now for a positive 2021-2022 with scheduling, staffing and House activities. Thank you all for your continued support of our high school.

Principal

Syntero Parent Newsletter

Many of us have heard the phrase, "children don't come with a handbook telling us how to raise them" yet we also know how tough parenting can be, especially in times like these!  That's why the Syntero School-Based Prevention Team is excited to announce that we have recently created a Syntero Parent Newsletter campaign. Each month a newsletter will be distributed which highlights a relevant mental health and/or substance use topic along with tips and tricks to help parents feel empowered, educated and ready to tackle tough conversations and situations with their children.  It will also offer parenting resources as well as information about Syntero School-Based prevention offerings, such as upcoming parent workshops, for all the districts Syntero serve.  Click HERE for the Syntero Parent Newsletter Sign-up link. .
