Business Spotlight: Deshaies Electrical Services - Q&A

Mike Deshaies established Deshaies Electrical Services, LLC in 2010 with a commitment to establishing trust by being dependable, communicating effectively, and providing fair priced services. The company’s growth over the past decade plus is a positive testimony that he fulfills that commitment. We asked Mike the following questions to get a better understanding of his service offerings.

What is your service forte?

Being a strategic partner on residential or commercial build projects. While we do provide services such as installing electric or smart car chargers, generators, marine and security system wiring, light fixtures, and service upgrades to home or business owners, working directly with builders, architects, designers, homeowners or property managers on residential or commercial electrical wiring plans and installations is our specialty. We provide custom electrical plans to develop pricing, establish clear communication on placement and function, and manage the project process and installation scheduling.

Please tell us about “JellyFish Lighting” (permanent outdoor lighting).

There are only two dealers in the Maryland area for this lighting system, and Deshaies Electric is the only to offer it in Anne Arundel County. JellyFish Lighting was originally created for holiday lighting but has advanced since 2011 to become a versatile accent lighting system. Whether it’s used to highlight or accent exterior architectural features, provide color-changing mood lighting, or holiday, game day, or other celebration lighting, JellyFish Lighting provides a unique lighting feature to a home’s exterior.

What can one expect when they contact Deshaies Electric?

We will get back to you shortly with a detailed quote or service appointment date and time. We have five service trucks and crews available throughout Anne Arundel County who are available to meet any service need or emergency. We’re “small enough to listen, big enough to deliver”!

GADD Monthly Networking Breakfast (MEMBERS Only)

Date: Third Thursday of each month - Upcoming Dates: November 16, December 21

Time: 7:30am - 8:30am

Cost: Free

Members are invited to an early morning networking hour the third Thursday of each month from 7:30-8:30a.m. at the Market House. Arrive a few minutes early to purchase a coffee and breakfast bite at Rise Up, located inside the Market House. Be ready at 7:30am to connect and collaborate.

Park Hardware Grand Opening Re-Cap

Park Hardware, formerly Clement Hardware, recently celebrated its grand opening in Severna Park with a special event, product demonstrations, live entertainment, and giveaways for customers. Representatives from the Greater Severna Park and Arnold Chamber of Commerce and local county government opened the celebration with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Following the ceremony, community members were greeted by staff and toured the store and Zeskind's Door & Window Showroom. They also enjoyed product demonstrations with representatives from brands like Big Green Egg and Diablo Tool, as well as live entertainment from the School of Rock House Band. The first 100 community members to visit the new store received a voucher for free food from a participating food truck and all had the opportunity to win door prizes, including Park Hardware-branded apparel.

What's Up? Media's 2nd Annual Home Excellence Awards

What’s Up? Media’s home awards program will honor elite home builders, architects, designers, and professionals serving the greater Chesapeake Bay region.

Home industry professionals and firms may submit their completed projects for evaluation and vetting in 13 award categories. Entries—consisting of a project description and accompanying photographs—will be accepted through the November 30th deadline. There is no limit to the amount of project entries each professional/firm may submit. You will be asked to sign up before submitting.

Ferguson Designer’s Club

The Ferguson Designer's Club program was recently launched to enhance relationships with their designers and a way to show their gratitude. The Designer’s Club is free to join, and is exclusive to Ferguson MD and DC showrooms only.

The Designer's Club offers members rewards for plumbing, lighting, appliances, cabinets, and hardware specified into each project. Once signed up, you will earn points based on your shipped purchases, attending events, and purchasing a full suite of Monogram products. You will be eligible to enter drawings to win trips, monthly, quarterly, and annual rewards.
