Dear Jefferson Families,

On behalf of the PTA Board, I would like to welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year. My name is Kristine Conway, and I would like to introduce myself as your PTA President. My son, Rowan, has already completed a wonderful journey through Jefferson, and is off to Parras this year. My daughter, Quinn, was part of the first TK class at Jefferson last year and is excited to start Kindergarten this year. I have served the PTA in the last years as a Board Member, as well as Co-Chair for Running Club, Jog-a-thon, and Spring Carnival. I’ve also been a room parent and participated on many committees for fundraisers and other school programs. I have been honored to be part of this school community, and excited for the years to come.

Every year, the PTA supports school programs such as field trips, assemblies, community events, Hands on Art, the Garden program, and grants for teacher supplies as well as scholarships for Jefferson alumni. These programs and events can only happen with your support. The easiest way to help, is to JOIN THE PTA and become a member. It costs only $15/person, and our goal is to have 100% participation from teachers and families. All donations are tax deductible. By becoming a PTA member, you are joining the largest children’s advocacy organization in the country.

Here are some other ways you can help:

• Please Donate! We have numerous fundraisers throughout the year and all donations are tax deductible.
• Volunteer! We offer many volunteer opportunities throughout the year. We appreciate any time you can give.
• Stay connected! Keep up to date with everything happening in the school by signing up to receive our weekly e-newsletter “Dolphin Did You Know” (DDYK). You can also follow us on Facebook or Instagram. Also, members get to attend the PTA meetings. (Our first meeting is scheduled for Tues, Sept 12 at 8:15am in the school cafeteria)

The Jefferson PTA supports the school by offering a number of enrichment activities, family social gatherings, and volunteer opportunities that are available to all Jefferson students and families.

One way to support our school and show our children how we value their learning and bring us all is together is to join the PTA!

One membership costs $15 and all dues are 100% tax deductible (TAX ID 95-6204301).

Every student MUST have a personal emergency kit (including a Disaster Preparedness Form) as part of the Redondo Beach Unified School District’s disaster preparedness plan.

If your child attends the CDC program, you must submit a second kit to CDC.

 

There are three ways you can insure an emergency kit for your child.

• Purchase one from MORE PREPARED. This is a Jefferson Fundraiser

• Make one on your own (see list below).

• Purchase from another retail supplier.
