Tau Chapter Recognized at 74th Biennial Conclave in Charlottesville

Tau Chapter was awarded the Silver Bowl for Academic Excellence for the 2022-2023 school term at this year's Grand Conclave in Charlottesville, VA. The Silver Bowl is given to those fraternities whose GPA is above that of their university. Tau was also recognized as a Champion Chapter (having more than 65 men or the largest on campus.)


The 74th Biennial Grand Conclave was held July 26-30 at the Kappa Sigma Fraternity International Headquarters.

Attending this year's Grand Conclave were Bill Zwiener '73, Tau Trustees Chairman; Carl Thorne-Thomsen '07, Assistant Alumnus Advisor; LJ Godfrey '22, Chapter Officer; Billy Thackston '21, Chapter Officer; Fayette Thackston '87 (Beta-Upsilon, North Carolina State); and Jim Pritchett '71, past Tau Trustees Chairman.

Tau Golf Tournament

Winners 2023


The 16th Annual Denton Cooley Golf Tournament was held on May 22 at the Gus Wortham Park Golf Course in Houston.

Gross winners were Mark Hablinksi '73, Philip Hablinksi, Joe Bailey '73, and Robert Glauser '72.

The 38th Annual Tau Open Golf Tournament was held on May 5 & 6 at Falconhead Golf Club in Bee Cave, just outside of Austin.
