Benson Avenue between 5th Street and Moreno Street will have reduced lanes with flaggers directing traffic during daytime hours through the beginning of March. Crews will be shoring (building temporary support structures), sawing, and removing pavement. Bridge widening work will continue for approximately two years.

  • Mountain Avenue: In November 2020, crews removed a portion of the EB I-10 shoulder over Mountain Avenue. Daytime and nighttime activities include pouring concrete, placing rebar, and removing portions of the abutment (support structure at the end of a bridge). Work began in fall 2020 and will last for approximately 18 months.

  • Euclid Avenue: Crews demolished the east side of the bridge and are working on rebuilding the northbound (NB) lanes. Daytime and nighttime activities include bridge construction and removal of temporary support structures. Work on Euclid Avenue began in mid-May 2020 and will last for approximately 18 months.

Phase 1 of SB Express Lanes is located in the southwestern portion of San Bernardino County east of Los Angeles County. The project will provide choices on the I-10 freeway between the Los Angeles/San Bernardino County line and I-15. The project includes two express lanes in each direction to offer trip reliability and ease congestion. In addition, lanes to assist drivers getting on and off the freeway (auxiliary lanes) will be constructed in selected locations. West of Haven Avenue, a single new lane will be constructed and combined with the existing HOV lane to provide two express lanes in each direction. The HOV lane will still be available to motorists, but will increase from 2+ to 3+. East of Haven Avenue, two express lanes will be constructed.
