Dear Rondout Families and Faculty,
Can you believe it? We have 5 days left of school and are gearing up for the excitement of our last week. Wrapping up our learning adventures, finishing projects, reflecting on the challenges and successes of the year and cleaning out/clearing out lockers, cabinets and desks. Help us by finding any library books that may be hanging out at your house.
Friday, we will be hosting a fun activity day with indoor and outdoor activities enjoyed within clusters. If the weather interferes with our planting party tomorrow, we will finish up the garden with the students during the week.
This summer we will be hosting weekly garden party dates and invite families to come by and work in the garden, weeding, watering and later in the summer harvesting. Just a reminder the majority of our produce goes to the food pantry in North Chicago run by North Chicago Community Partners, the Midwest Veteran’s Closet and the Haven. We will provide you with a list of dates and times starting in June.
The building will be closed due to the HVAC work scheduled to take place. Extended School Year will be in the South Wing and away from the work taking place. The office will be open each day until 2:30 p.m. as everyone will be working on an early schedule.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend and looking forward to finishing the 2022-2023 school year strong!
Take care… Until next time…
