Shore's Annual Spring Benefit - Oh What A Night!

Our Spring Benefit and on-line auction was on May 18th and was a huge success! We honored Natalie Romano, President of Shore's Board of Directors, for her many years of service and dedication to Shore.

We celebrated with food and heartfelt speeches from Shore's CEO, Alexis India Alm, and guest of honor, Natalie Romano. Then we had an exciting paddle raise and a lucky donor won at trip to Mexico! We then enjoyed great live music from Neil Carson and the One Night Swingers and dancing. It was a wonderful night to remember and we raised critical funds for Shore.

Shore's Koenig Training Center Update

Shore officially sold the Koenig Center building in late April. As a result, we officially moved to our leased space and will start construction soon to update it for our future needs. We are working with an architectural firm, The Cashman Stahler Group, and are very excited for the renovations to begin. We will have a state-of-the-art program space! All drop offs and pick ups are now only in the front of the building.

A Day at the Skokie Library

Philip, Dara (above, both standing), Richard, and Janie had a fantastic time reading King Arthur and participating in a regular book club at the Skokie Library. They discussed the book and, on the last day, celebrated by dressing up in medieval costumes!

Richard liked acting like a king.

Shore Pays a Visit to VFW Post 134 in Morton Grove

Individuals served at the Koenig Center created a beautiful banner to share with the heroes of The American Legion Post 134 in Morton Grove. Their visit was educational and meant a great deal to all who attended.

White Sox Spring Baseball Outing

Shore residents had a beautiful day for a visit to the ballpark! Special thanks to the White Sox organization for generously donating tickets to us. We were lucky to have a sunny spring day to enjoy taking in a game.

Shore's Art Gallery Makes a Splash at the Spring Benefit

We are proud of our Shore artists who created gorgeous works of art that were up for bid at the Spring Benefit. Lucky winner, Alexis India Alm, Shore's CEO and Dr. Walter Alm, proudly display their painting in their home. All proceeds from these paintings benefit Shore so we are grateful to our artists and those who bid on these gems!

Illinois Masonic Dentistry Clinic Visits Shore's Lois Lloyd Center

We are grateful for the team from Illinois Masonic Dentistry Clinic. In early May, they came and performed free dental screenings and recommendations at the Lois Lloyd Center. It was great to have support for healthy teeth and gums!
