World Language is back in Chelsea Public School. Each Friday all students rotate through an introductory level .

We are First Branch! Thank you to all our students for bringing their creativity to tie dye! We had so many great shirts on display at the fair. It was easy to see our students and ensure we had everyone.

Did you see our 1st and 4th grade project on display at the Tunbridge Fair? We are so proud of our students and faculty that made this happen! We hope to continue this tradition next year.

Hello First Branch,

As the Tunbridge Fair wraps up, we want to extend a big thank you to our faculty, staff, students, and families. First Branch had several compliments from fair employees and other schools. We were easy to find in tie-dye and well-organized. We could not have done this without the community support of our chaperones and class helpers. We also appreciate your patience during sign-out at the fair. We know having a location with our tablecloth helped. Everyone did as we asked, and we clearly understood where students were. We hope to get better and better at this each year.

In addition, First Branch is now 100% complete in Family ID. This is the registration system used yearly for new and returning students. We are now turning our attention to the Oct 1 deadline for free and reduced lunch applications. Every family needs these filled out to access grant money for staffing positions, programs, and so much more! These forms help us fill in gaps with funding we really need. Over the past few years, we have lost funding due to the low return rate of forms—every form matters.

We hope to see everyone at Open House this week for TCS!

We are looking for community members to join in and support this work with compensation. Do you have a skill or hobby you can share? We would love to learn it with you. Contact Janet Cash, [email protected]. This is made possible by the Community + Schools Grant!

*The Mandarin class is as a result of Mrs. Cash winning a free class package at the Vermont Principal Association Conference.

Reminders:

What if My Child Is Missing School Because They Are Showing at the Fair?

Just a reminder to earn attendance credit for the day missed, students need to share a poster, slideshow, or presentation about their time. Mrs. Cash and Mr. Rivers are also more than willing to stop by to see them in action! Please share when the student will show. We will get someone there! We are also looking for students to present at the next board meeting Oct. 3rd. Students should share these presentations with their class and with the main office. We ask families to contact the main office to note the student is out for the day or days and the reason.
