On February 16, high level ministers and national stakeholders met face-to-face and virtually in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to share the results of a Brucellosis sero-surveillance study. The study, conducted throughout three regions of Ethiopia, included collecting and analyzing samples from more than 27,000 humans and animals in 2017. Brucellosis is an infection spread from animals to people, mostly by unpasteurized dairy products. The results of this study will be utilized by the people and government of Ethiopia to plan and coordinate ongoing brucellosis mitigation techniques.
