FROM THE PRESIDENT
Thanksgiving Food Drive
Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart
Dear Parents and Guardians:

Although Thanksgiving is still a few weeks off, many of us are planning now for our own celebrations. As we consider our own celebration of Thanksgiving, we must be mindful of those around us who are struggling this year.

Beginning tomorrow, Monday, November 7, our school’s Thanksgiving Food Drive will be in full operation. May I ask for your assistance in helping to provide the necessary food so that families in our area can enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving meal? Each theology class has been assigned a non-perishable food item which will be collected over the next two weeks.

Mr. Aquilante – Mashed Potatoes
Sister Brenda – Canned Yams
Father Chiriaco – Canned Turkey Gravy
Sister Christina – Mac n Cheese
Mrs. Kilpatrick – StoveTop Stuffing
Sister Marianne – Cranberry Sauce
Mr. Thompson – Canned Corn
Mrs. Ziegler – Canned Green Beans

Thank you for your consideration of this request. Let us remember the hungry at Thanksgiving, for when we feed them, we feed Christ.

Sincerely,
Father Donia

FROM THE PRINCIPAL
End of Quarter Academic Check-in

It's hard to believe we are nearing the end of the first quarter of the 2022-2023 school year, but this Friday does indeed mark the end of the first marking period. I hope the first few months of school were filled with meaningful learning and lasting memories for your student. Please encourage your student to check Schoology and PowerSchool regularly, and to communicate with his or her teachers if they are struggling academically. We have a variety of supports in place - from NHS tutoring to the After School Academic Success Program - designed to help students persevere through challenges and, ultimately, to thrive. Your student does not have to struggle alone! More information about our academic support programs is available on shanahan.org
