Outreach Committee Update

Christmas Stars 

Join us to share God’s love through gifts on Christmas morning for 30 children from area families in need! 

Sign up using the button above, or select a tag from the basket in the narthex.

Star gifts should total $60-80 per child and be dropped off with name labels in the parlor by Sunday, Dec. 10th. If you would like to sponsor a child, but need elves to do the shopping, contact Gayle Edwards at 252.903.2782.

Dec. 20 Service Opportunity for All Ages

Ripe for Revival has invited us to participate in its annual Christmas food box giveaway and packing event on Dec 20th at Rocky Mount Mills. The times are 9:30-12(all ages) and 1-4 pm (older youth and adults as lifting will be involved.) For more information on this event contact Isabella Walker (isabella@isabellakwalker.com)

Every Member Response Pledge Campaign Update

We are pleased to report that more than 55 households have already made their pledge, with more than 70% increasing their giving for the coming year. We are 83% of the way to meeting our financial goal for Every Member Response and fully supporting our ministries in 2024.

We’re incredibly grateful for your generosity and enthusiasm, and we encourage those who have not pledged to consider joining us in making one now. You can pledge by clicking here.

Poinsettias in Memory or Thanksgiving

Each year the church is decorated with poinsettias for the twelve days of Christmas. You may order one in memory of or in thanksgiving for a loved one. The cost is $15.00 per plant. Order forms can be found in the pews and on the tables in the entranceways to the church. Orders are due by Sunday, December 17th.

Annual Meeting



Church of the Good Shepherd's Annual Meeting will be held following the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday, December 17. After the Eucharist, the congregation will hear from the Sr. Warden and vote on the new slate for Vestry.
