New Inclusive Leadership Institute Seeking Applicants
Are you interested in developing your leadership skills? Do you value inclusivity and diversity? Do you want to meet with campus and community leaders who put these values into practice?
If so, consider applying to join the College’s first-ever Inclusive Leadership Institute for the 2023-2024 school year.
The experience is designed from start to finish to help you feel more confident communicating in a diversely inclusive society. Completion of the Institute is also a great element to add to your resume for the future!
We’re looking for 15 students to participate. Applications are due by Friday, September 15.

Esports Open Lab
Tuesday, September 12
2-4pm
Join us in-person or online to play your favorite game with classmates, faculty, and staff.
Pizza and drinks will be served for the on-campus players, and all players get a WVNCC Esports t-shirt and laptop sticker!
Each lab includes new Alienware PC systems which have multiple games downloaded on them to sit down and play immediately.
Playing time will be on a first come first serve basis. Students are encouraged to bring their headsets.

American Heart Association Fundraiser and Heart Walk

Participate in the 2023 Ohio Valley Heart Walk supporting the American Heart Association. In the past, funds raised from the Heart Walk have led to scientific breakthroughs like pacemakers, cardiac stents, and artificial heart valves that keep people alive longer.

Gamers unite! PC games, console games, card games, board games or tabletop RPGs are all welcome at WVNCC's Game Night.
Bring your gaming rig or console and join others for some network games. (TVs are limited, so bringing your own is the safest bet).
There will also be a tabletop RPG session run by our CIT Instructor, Jeremy Doolin. New players are welcome.

WVNCC Seeking Team for OCFRN Scavenger Hunt
Saturday, September 30 (B&O Building, Wheeling Campus)
12:30-3:30pm
WVNCC is sponsoring a student team for the Ohio County Family Resource Network’s 3rd Annual Scavenger Hunt taking place 12:30-3:30pm Saturday, September 30.
Teams will check-in 11:30am-noon at the B&O Building before exploring Wheeling and surrounding areas to complete tasks. All teams will report back to the B&O Building at 3:30pm for awards.
The team will be limited to 2-6 people. Each participant receives a t-shirt.

Tutors - We have a variety of tutors in several subjects! Connecting with a tutor is easy. You can access our list of tutors and contact information in the Academic Resource Center- Online course in Brightspace behind your portal.

Academic Resource Center Live Help - If you have a question and can't get to campus, you can Zoom with one of our helpful staff/tutors. The schedule and link are available in the course.

Library Services - For your academic research needs, we have databases available. For example, OVID is a database with a collection of 60 full text journals to help researchers find important medical information. You can access OVID and many other databases through the library webpage under Articles or the library button in the portal.
