End Hate Against the Asian American Community
Since the onset of the pandemic and the recent disgraceful acts of violence in Atlanta, the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) population has seen a rise in hate and discrimination against their historically marginalized community. At LMM, we do not stand for hate and discrimination of any kind and we must do all we can to serve as an ally and support the AAPI community.

Here are some resources on how you can contribute to ending hate and discrimination against the AAPI community:
MetroHealth Uses Johnson & Johnson to Vaccinate Homeless Population
While limited quantities of the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine have made it to Cleveland, MetroHealth has made great use of the 300 J&J shots they have received thus far. MetroHealth has prioritized vaccinating individuals experiencing homelessness with all 300 of the Johnson & Johnson vaccines they have acquired. We appreciate MetroHealth for their partnership and providing healthcare for those who are vulnerable in our community.
More Relief is On the Way
Thank you for advocating in support of the American Rescue Plan. This legislation will help ensure Americans are able to stay in their homes, access food and pay bills. We're grateful to Congress for passing this legislation last week and to President Biden for signing this into law.
United Way Consent Decree Conversations
United Way of Greater Cleveland and the Cleveland Chapter of the NAACP are hosting a 10-part series of community conversations focused on The City of Cleveland's consent decree.

Their most recent conversation on March 12 highlighted transparency, accountability, and oversight and featured Legal Aid Society of Cleveland's Executive Director, Colleen Cotter. In case you missed it, you can listen to that conversation here.
