COVID-19 Policy Update

The Executive Team of NRUMC met to review our COVID-19 policy, including mask mandates. A new policy, effective this Sunday, Sunday, March 13, includes a "mask optional" rule for most activities, including worship services. All volunteers working with nursery and pre-K groups will continue to mask until Sunday, March 27 at which time we will shift to mask optional, in line with our preschool's protocol. Please see the video below for a more complete update from Pastor Duke and Pastor Alan.

We are asking our congregation to make donations of household items and furniture to The Green Chair Project in order to support the ongoing Refugee Resettlement program.  The Green Chair Project has provided furnishings for 41 refugee families thus far!

This week we had a message that there is a real need for lamps, twin bedding (sheets and comforters for boys), new pillows and 9 x 12 glass casserole dishes.

Please go to http://nrumc.org/refugee-resttlement/ then click on the “Donate” button and you will see a Sign-Up Genius open with all the items needed for refugee families.  Choose the items you wish to donate and list your name beside the item(s).  Then take your item(s) to The Green Chair Project, 1853 Capital Blvd., Raleigh, NC. 27604.  They accept donations on Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 am to 2 pm.

For donations of furniture, please go to The Green Chair website and read the guidelines provided there for donations of furniture.

If you have any questions, please The Green Chair Project at (919) 322-0474.
