Blessing of the Backpacks Tomorrow during our first school Mass of the 2021-22 school year, Cathedral Pastor Fr. Robert Szczechura will bestow a blessing of the students' backpacks. The special blessing is a reminder to our students that they are surrounded by God's promises and have the love and support of our priests, faculty, and staff during their school year at ICCS.

Read-a-thon 2021 Update Thank you to all the parents and students participating in the Read-a-thon. As of this morning, you have raised $6,675.00 for our STEAM program! Our goal is to meet or surpass last year's total of more than $10,000 by Friday, Sept. 3, and we know our students and families will make this happen! Please continue to share the link with family and friends and encourage your student to read. A Message from Yearbook Adviser, Mrs. Seymour We would like parents and students to help us out by providing pictures for the year book. Yearbook photographers can't be everywhere, but with Balfour's "Image Share" app, everyone in our school and community can easily share photos of school events or friends from their mobile device.  Its SO easy! Students or parents simply download the iOS or Android app, create an account and enter our yearbook's project information (229768) and you're ready to go!  Photos can be taked from the app itself or can be uploaded from your phone's photo gallery. Virtus Training for Parent Volunteers, Saturday, Sept. 11 The Diocese of Memphis requires all adults who work with children and other vulnerable populations to attend a one-time Virtus training session. If you plan to volunteer in your child's classroom or as a chaperone or driver, you must attend this class. Sessions are held on a regular basis throughout the city. While you may attend any session convenient to you, a Virtus class will be held on our campus in the Cathedral Marian Hall on Saturday, Sept. 11 from 9-noon. To register, please visit www.virtus.org. On the left-hand side of the webpage, click "First Time Registrant." This will bring you to page with a drop-down menu to select a location. Select Memphis and follow the prompts. Do you plan to be a driver for school field trips? If you plan to be a driver for school events, we must have a completed, signed Driver Information Form on file. CLICK HERE for a printable Driver Volunteer packet. We are required to also run a background check on volunteer drivers.
